1.2.0

September 13, 2026 Latest

Twenty-three new features and improvements. Most of them are about presets: sharing them, importing them, and three kits that now ship with the plugin.

New

Share a kit or a pattern through the system share sheet: Mail, Messages, AirDrop. A kit goes as one file with its samples inside, so it plays on a machine that does not have them. Sharing a pattern asks whether the loaded kit goes with it.

New

Save As in the SHARE menu writes the same files wherever you point them, so a kit can go straight into a pack folder.

New

Import by dropping a .tmkit or .tmpat anywhere on the plugin, or with IMPORT in the browser. IMPORT also takes folders, so a whole pack lands in one go, and the footer says what arrived and what was skipped.

New

Preset files are encrypted. The audio travels inside the kit and cannot be pulled back out of it.

New

Colour tags on presets, and a BPM column showing the tempo a pattern was saved at.

New

.tmkit and .tmpat have their own icon and a readable name in Finder and Explorer.

New

Three kits ship with the plugin: Slapper, No Discussion and Memento, with their patterns, built from the Core Kit. One you rename or delete stays that way, and a later release only hands you what you have not had yet.

New

LINK chains the two browser columns, so a kit and a pattern saved under the same name sit on the same row.

New

Save the kit and the pattern under one name with the floppy left of BROWSE.

New

New Kit and New Pattern in the dropdown, for starting clean. Both are one Cmd+Z away if you reach for one by mistake.

New

Shift-click selects a run of blocks in the Pattern Chain. Move, copy, delete, resize or repoint them in one step.

New

Cmd+C and Cmd+V on chain blocks. Each paste lands after the last one, so copies lay end to end.

New

Duplicate as New copies a block's pattern into a new slot, so the copy can become a variation without touching the original.

New

Your DAW's cycle range drawn over the arrangement. Preferences, Sync tab, off by default.

New

A Gain knob next to Normalize trims the sample's own level by up to 24 dB either way. It is baked into the sample with the other edits and leaves the lane fader as the mix control.

New

Clear steps in the lane menu wipes that lane's notes in the current pattern and keeps the sample.

New

Stamp mute or solo across lanes by dragging down the mute or S column.

New

The window and the layout are saved with the project: window size, library drawer, panel split and which view sits in the bottom panel.

New

Any keyboard shortcut can be switched off in Preferences, Shortcuts tab. The key then falls through to your DAW.

Improved

Auditioning a preset runs the engine instead of playing a bounced file. It stays in sync at any tempo, follows tempo changes, and no longer loops short on patterns over four bars.

Improved

Saving over an existing name asks first. It used to write "Name 2" without saying so.

Improved

The pattern picker on a chain block opens on the click. The 400 ms wait before it appeared is gone.

Improved

Playback follow is off until you turn it on, so the grid stops moving while you edit.

Fixed

Pro Tools: UI Zoom now resizes the AAX window. It used to scale the interface only, which pushed most of it, the zoom control included, outside the frame.

Fixed

A kit loaded into another song no longer changes your lane outputs.

Fixed

Lanes added by a pattern recall come in at unity instead of 6 dB down.

Fixed

GRID, PATTERN, SLOW, SLAP and BROWSE no longer run off the right edge in a narrow window.

Fixed

A shared kit shows its lane categories on the website, whatever machine it was made on.

Changed

Changed: pattern presets no longer carry the Pattern Chain, including ones saved in 1.1.0. The arrangement stays with the song you are writing.

1.1.0

August 26, 2026

Twelve features rather than fixes, and the first ones that change how the plugin is laid out: a new bar above the top bar, and a new preferences page. That is why this is 1.1 and not 1.0.8.

New

Kit and pattern presets, in a bar above the top bar: KITS on the left, PATTERNS on the right. Independent on purpose: recall a kit and every pattern stays exactly as you wrote it, so one beat can be tried through five kits, or five beats under one kit. Kit presets embed their audio, so they survive their source samples being moved and open on another machine.

New

A preset browser: both libraries side by side, with a five-star rating, date added, and headers that sort by any of the three. Selecting a preset auditions the combination recalling it would give you: a kit through your current beat, or that beat on your current kit. Right-click to duplicate or delete.

New

Pattern presets carry every pattern slot, the Pattern Chain and the master FX. Slow is per pattern, so its rate and mix travel too, so a recalled beat comes back at the depth you saved it. Recalling patterns written for a bigger kit grows the lane count instead of dropping notes.

New

Reverse in the sample editor, with the waveform, its trim shading, the fade handles and the zoom bar all mirroring to match.

New

Pre-delay reaches −200 ms, the Start knob skewed so zero still points straight up, leaving room to sit an 808 further behind the beat.

New

Copy and paste a lane's notes, or the whole lane, between lanes and between two instances of TrapMan.

New

Drag a lane's sample out to your DAW or the Finder, by the lane's name.

New

Fixed per-slot lane names: a preferences page for a kit that is always laid out the same way. A display override, so switching it off restores each project's own names.

Improved

Scroll the pattern selector to change patterns without opening the list.

Improved

Return in the library opens a folder, or loads the selected sample onto the selected lane.

Improved

Library folders list alphabetically, the footer speaker mutes previewing, and each smart folder keeps one shuffle for the life of the instance instead of reshuffling on every expand.

Fixed

Slow and Slap mix knobs no longer come up greyed out next to lit buttons when a project loads. The look was only refreshed on user action, and opening a project is neither.

Fixed

One close button for every dismissable panel, the colour picker's moving to the right to match the rest.
